DUBAI
Dubai’s skyline can be summarized very nicely with just one word: epic. Home to 3.6 million residents, it is the most populous city in the UAE. Home to the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, Dubai also has the most 5-star hotels in the world and is one of the biggest transport hubs for passengers and cargo on the planet. Dubai is a centre for regional and international trade since the early 20th century.

LJUBLJANA
With a population of approximately 295,000 people, Ljubljana is among the smallest capitals of a tiny Alpine country, the Republic of Slovenia. According to Greek legend, Jason, the leader of the Argonauts, whose quest was to find the Golden Fleece, fought and killed a monster in the marshes near Ljubljana. This monster evolved into the dragon that today is present in the city coat of arms and flag.

SANTORINI
Santorini, or Thira as the Greeks call it, is an island in the Aegean Sea. Looking at this serene white town on the breezy slope overlooking the turquoise waters, it is almost impossible to imagine that it was the site of one of the most significant volcanic eruptions in recorded history: the Minoan eruption, which occurred 3,600 years ago. Santorini ranks among the most popular and photographed tourist destinations in the world.

Belgrade is the capital and the largest city of Serbia. It is located at the confluence of the 2 rivers: Sava and Danube. 1.7 million people live in the city, and it is considered one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Its roots go back to the 6th millennium BC, but traces of the first settlements surrounding Belgrade go 20,000 years back. Due to its turbulent history, Belgrade was destroyed 5 times in the last 100 years.

ABU DHABI
Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates. With a population of 1.5 million people, it is the second most populous city after Dubai. What was once a quiet fishing village on the white beaches of the Arabian Sea is now a sprawling and ever-expanding metropolis. Abu Dhabi accounts for about two-thirds of the roughly $400 billion UAE economy.

NEW YORK
If a city's skyline indicates its history, progress, and current state of its economy, then New York has some stories to tell! The Big Apple has a soul and energy which is hard to describe but is felt by every person who ever visited it. My choice for the “money shot” of New York was the signature view of lower Manhattan, where some of its tallest buildings are found.

HONG KONG
Established as a former colony of the British Empire, Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. In a territory measuring just 1,104 square kilometres, Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated places in the world. Its dazzling, high-tech skyline, which inspired countless futuristic movies, is a sight to behold. This panorama was captured from a rooftop terrace during my trip to the area in 2017.

Thirteen Cities
Beno Saradzic
As we slowly approach the two hundredth birthday of the most widespread and important medium which radically changed our perception of the world, the question should be raised as to how much this medium itself changed, if it managed to change us that much.

However impressive and innovative Beno Saradžić's work is at various levels of metaphotography, it is the “money shot” philosophy that this artist has adopted as his signature identity, as it redefines each new photograph.

The thematic framework of his collection is panoramas of cities from around the world that do not seem to share many architectural, anthropological, and cultural features. This kind of diversity creates multiverse identities, scattered chronologically and individually.
